The Crow

Black as coal
Eyes cold and stark
A terrifying chill that could penetrate hearts
He lifts his wings into the air
Searching, spying, strategizing
He's perched upon a building
His eyes always watching
So stunning, so cunning
Just what is he plotting?
Rising his wings toward a dark grey sky
The rain pours down its comforting
Stalking, taunting, hawking, squawking,
He tears at the flesh like vultures preying
His heart is jaded, a vengeance boils in his blood
Trauma, he strikes, like lightening firing
A person's worst nightmares could leave him smiling
His heart has been scorned from lovers past
He lives alone, cold, desolate, black.
The black crow, he reaps what he's sewn.
The black crow, he approaches his throne.
