Today in class we did a writing prompt called "Bizzaro You" based off of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine's friends meet her other friends and find out that they are the exact opposite of each other, personality wise. Based on this concept, we were told to write a version of our bizzaro self (a.k.a. a person who is the polar opposite of our self). Not only did I make my bizzaro character a male, I also made him the exact opposite of myself to the extreme. He is actually somebody I would probably loathe in real life. I then even went as far as to make him a dog person, since I am a cat person. Ironically enough, I also made his dog Ursula (my cat's name is opposite Little Mermaid character, Ariel) the exact opposite personality of my cat's. For instance, Ariel (My cat) is fat, lazy, hates exercising and is ALWAYS eating. Bizarro dog Ursula on the otherhand loves to exercise and thinks eating is a waste of time, as it requires her to take time away from exercising. Anyways, here is my Bizzaro writing prompt. :) Enjoy!
Kyle is a very religious republican who loves dogs and hates cats. A bit on the chubby side, he is also very lazy and never cleans unless it is an absolute necessity. (Say for instance if he can't leave his house because the mess is blocking the door). A calm individual, he never lets his nerves affect him. Always excelling in math, while on the otherhand being totally illiterate, he has always hated reading and writing and instead found himself going to school to get his major in accounting.
Some things that Kyle hates include gardening, art, and feminism. He also despises doing the laundry, and cannot stand the taste or smell of coffee. He will never understand why some individuals insist that they require this beverage of choice to make it through their mornings. Kyle is a meat and potatoes type of guy and thinks that vegetarians and animal activists are a joke. If you can't already tell, he's the type of guy most individuals love to hate.
He is not sensitive in the least, and is very arrogant. He loves summer but hates fall because he doesn't like wearing sleeves and also cannot stand Halloween or noisy trick-or- treaters and their sticky candy hands pawing at his front door. His dog's name is Ursula and she loves to exercise and play all day long, the exact opposite of Kyle, who prefers laying around.
Tonight Kyle is having his favorite for dinner, salami sandwiches and an ice cold Budlight to wash it down. The smell of salami is like a drug to Kyle. Sometimes he walks past the deli and watches the butchers cut the salami just so he can catch a whiff of the scent. Ursula on the otherhand rarely eats and finds it to be a total waste of her precious time. Why load up on by-products and wheat gluten when you could be running laps around the house or chasing the neighborhood cat?
